Terms & Conditions
These Terms govern your use of the Saudi HOST website and app ("Saudi HOST", "the Platform", "we"). By creating an account, booking, or listing as a host, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Site Policies. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
1. Who we are
Saudi HOST is an online marketplace operated in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia that connects visitors with independent local hosts (guides, drivers, captains, translators, VIP concierges and hostesses). Commercial registration and VAT registration are in progress and will be published here once issued.
Contact: support@saudihost.app.
2. Our role as an intermediary
Saudi HOST is a technology platform, not a tour operator, transport company or employer. Hosts are independent service providers who set their own prices, availability and experiences. The contract for each experience is between the visitor and the host; Saudi HOST facilitates the booking, the HOST-AGR service agreement, messaging and payment records.
We verify identities and review host applications, but we do not guarantee the conduct of any user. Use your judgment and report any concern to us.
3. Eligibility and accounts
To use the Platform you must:
- Be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter contracts.
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Keep your login private — you are responsible for all activity on your account.
- Hold only one account, and not create an account on behalf of someone else without permission.
4. Identity verification
Visitors verify with a passport photo, which is checked automatically for authenticity and validity; the photo itself is not stored. Saudi citizens and residents verify with their National ID or Iqama number.
Hosts must submit their ID and be approved by Saudi HOST before they appear publicly. We may reject or suspend any application or account at our discretion, including for failed checks, false information, low ratings or complaints.
5. Host obligations
By listing on Saudi HOST, each host confirms that they:
- Hold every licence and permit required for the services they offer under Saudi law — including a tourist guide licence from the Ministry of Tourism where guiding is offered, and authorisation from the Transport General Authority (TGA) and a valid driving licence and insurance where paid passenger transport is offered, and marine licences for boat trips.
- Are legally allowed to work in Saudi Arabia (non-Saudi hosts must hold a valid Iqama and any permission required by their sponsor and the Ministry of Human Resources).
- Describe experiences honestly, show accurate prices and honour confirmed bookings.
- Dress in respectful Saudi attire (thobe or abaya) and follow the HOST hospitality standards.
- Respect visitors' safety, privacy and dignity, and comply with the Anti-Harassment Law and public decency regulations.
- Are responsible for their own taxes, Zakat and any registration duties arising from their income.
6. Visitor obligations
Visitors agree to:
- Give the correct number of people in their group and any special needs when booking.
- Respect Saudi laws, customs, public decency regulations and the host's reasonable safety instructions.
- Hold a valid visa and any permits needed for the places visited.
- Not ask hosts to provide services that are illegal or outside what was booked.
7. Bookings, prices and fees
A booking request becomes a confirmed booking only when the host accepts it. Each booking receives a HOST-AGR agreement reference.
Visitors pay the host's price plus a 15% guest service fee. Hosts receive their price minus a 15% platform commission. Prices are shown in Saudi Riyals (SAR) and are VAT-inclusive where VAT applies. A tax invoice is available for each booking.
Online payments are coming soon. Until then, payment instructions are shared after the host confirms. Never pay a host outside the method shown by Saudi HOST.
8. Payments, escrow and payouts
When online payment is enabled, the full amount will be collected at confirmation and held by Saudi HOST until the experience is completed. Host payouts are released after the trip is completed and no dispute has been raised.
Cancellations and refunds follow our Cancellation & Refund Policy in the Site Policies.
9. Off-platform dealings
To protect everyone, users must keep communication and payment for bookings made through Saudi HOST on the Platform. Phone numbers, emails and links are hidden automatically in chat. Arranging to pay or meet outside the Platform to avoid fees may lead to account suspension, and Saudi HOST cannot help with disputes over off-platform payments.
10. Reviews
Visitors may review a host after a confirmed booking. Reviews must be honest, relevant and respectful. We may remove reviews that are abusive, fake, contain personal data or break the law. Hosts with consistently low ratings may be suspended for review.
11. Prohibited conduct
You must not use Saudi HOST to:
- Break any Saudi law, including the Anti-Cyber Crime Law, the Anti-Harassment Law and public decency regulations.
- Post false, misleading, offensive, discriminatory or sexually explicit content.
- Harass, threaten or defraud anyone, or impersonate another person.
- Offer or request services that are illegal, unlicensed or unsafe.
- Scrape, copy or interfere with the Platform or its security.
12. Safety and emergencies
In an emergency, call 911 (unified emergency number in Saudi Arabia) first, then let us know. Saudi HOST is not an emergency service. Experiences involving desert, sea, heights or physical activity carry natural risks; visitors take part at their own judgment and should follow the host's safety instructions.
13. Liability
To the extent permitted by Saudi law, Saudi HOST is not liable for the acts or omissions of hosts or visitors, or for indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability for any claim relating to a booking is limited to the fees Saudi HOST received for that booking. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Saudi law.
Users agree to indemnify Saudi HOST against claims arising from their breach of these Terms or of the law.
14. Intellectual property
The Saudi HOST name, logo, design and software belong to Saudi HOST. Hosts keep ownership of their photos and descriptions but grant Saudi HOST a free, non-exclusive licence to display them on the Platform and in its marketing.
15. Suspension and termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account, remove content or cancel bookings if these Terms or the law are broken, or to protect users. Confirmed bookings affected by a suspension are handled under the Refund Policy.
16. Disputes
If a problem occurs, contact us first within 7 days of the experience so we can mediate. We aim to reply within 5 working days.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably will be referred to the competent courts in Riyadh. Consumers keep the rights granted by the E-Commerce Law and consumer protection regulations.
17. Changes
We may update these Terms. We will show the new date at the top and notify users of material changes. Continuing to use the Platform after a change means you accept it. The Arabic version prevails if there is any conflict between languages.
